Erin is the Professional Development Project Specialist for Sunbeam Family Services. A fifth-generation Oklahoman, she grew up in Stroud, Oklahoma, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University. After working in education in Kansas and Arkansas, Erin returned to Oklahoma with her family in 2010 and completed a Master of Education in early childhood education at UCO. Teaching is her passion, and she loves to spark a love of reading in children. Erin spends her free time watching her teens’ sports and extracurricular activities, exercising, enjoying nature, reading and traveling.
Favorite Book: Two of my favorite books to share with older children are Number the Stars by Lois Lowry and Maniac McGee by Jerry Spinelli. Choosing a favorite book is so difficult, but I have recently enjoyed reading Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann and The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert.
