Jennifer Tally
Executive Director

Jennifer joined the coalition in 2022 with more than 20 years of corporate and nonprofit communications experience helping organizations further their missions. In recent years, she’s worked as a freelance communications and marketing specialist overseeing special events and the creation of marketing materials for clients in the US and Europe. Prior to her freelance role, Jennifer worked as Executive Director of the American Red Cross for Payne and Noble Counties in Oklahoma. Her corporate work included stints with UMB Bank and American Century MutualFunds, both of Kansas City, Missouri. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Theory and Human Relations from Park University.

“Joining the OKC Metro Literacy Coalition is a dream job for me because it brings all my experience full circle into one space, doing what I love and ultimately supporting an important mission,” Jennifer stated. “I’m excited to help bridge the gaps in literacy and create more awareness of this crisis by bringing new programs to our community.”

In her free time, Jennifer also volunteers as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts ofWestern Oklahoma, spends most weekends at softball fields with her husband Brian following their catcher-daughter’s travel team, and is an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction usually reading numerous books simultaneously.

Favorite Book: My favorite book is truly the dictionary as I’m constantly looking up words, and excitedly so, upon discovering a word that is new to me.
