Sue is a retired 40-year elementary art teacher who loved using children's literature as inspiration for art lessons. She still finds creative sparks in children’s books, like the Ice Cream Cone Coots and Two Bad Ants. Sue graduated from Oklahoma State University, and after a brief stint in Peace Corps/Afghanistan, came back to Oklahoma and worked in graphic arts for 10 years before finding a career in teaching.

Favorite Book: My favorite genre is historical fiction, and of late my favorite book is Where the Crawdads Sing.
